Craig Willis’s Team Hanuman has been running over 12 years now. We started operating part-time in a hired room in a sports centre, from there we escalated into a small 400 sq ft gym where our popularity rapidly expanded and we moved into our new 4500 sq ft in Darlington’s town centre.
Craig has spent 18 years of his life dedicated to practising, learning and teaching Muay Thai. At the peak of his fight career Craig was 3 times British Champion, and represented England in the first World Amateur Muay Thai tournament in Bangkok Thailand. On returning from Thailand he started teaching his friends in a local sports centre.
Craig has trained his students to World, European and Commonwealth honours in amateur sport and currently the Hanuman Thai Boxers compete regularly on the countries professional Thai Boxing circuit.

Craig has trained with some top Thai coaches including Rajasak Sor Vorapin, Duwoa Kongudorm and Chanoy Porntawee. He has also spent time training at the famous Jitti Gym in Bangkok and also with Master Pimu at the WPT Gym in Bangkok, Thailand. |
